What to Expect at Your First Visit to PCC

If you are wondering whether you might be pregnant, you’re likely feeling a mix of emotions—uncertainty, fear, maybe even hope. No matter how you’re feeling, the good news is you don’t have to face it alone. At Pregnancy Care Center (PCC), we’re here to support you with compassion and care, every step of the way.

Here’s what your first visit to PCC might look like:

A Warm Welcome

When you arrive, take the elevator to the third floor, where our friendly front desk team will greet you. You will first notice that our space is safe, calm, and welcoming – never cold or clinical like other medical offices. Once you’re checked in, you’ll fill out a short intake form, which will ask for contact information and a basic medical history. We keep your information and visit completely confidential – it’s something we take very seriously.

Meet Your Client Coach

After you’ve checked in and completed your intake form, you’ll be introduced to your client coach. This is someone who’s here to walk alongside you throughout your visit. In a private, comfortable setting, your coach will ask a few health-related questions to better understand your situation and needs. This conversation helps us tailor your care and ensures you feel heard and supported. You’ll have time to talk, ask questions, and share anything that’s on your mind before moving forward with the pregnancy test.

A Pregnancy Test

Next, a Registered Nurse will meet with you to administer a lab-quality urine pregnancy test. We recommend waiting until you’re a few days late in your period to get the most accurate results. Depending on your situation, we may also offer a free ultrasound to give you more information about the pregnancy—things like how far along you are and whether there is a heartbeat.

A Conversation About Your Options

Finding out you’re pregnant—especially if the timing feels all wrong—can be overwhelming. That’s why you’ll have the chance to talk with a client coach in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. They’ll listen, give you space to process, and when you’re ready, they’ll walk you through your options so you can make an informed decision. While we do not refer for or perform abortions, we’re here to support you with honest information and compassionate care, no matter what you’re facing.

Support That Goes Beyond the Test

No matter what you decide, PCC is here for you. We offer a variety of free services, including one-on-one coaching, classes on pregnancy and parenting, and access to professional counseling. We can also connect you with resources for adoption, after-abortion support, and more.

When your appointment is done, we’ll help you schedule any next steps—only if and when you’re ready. For over 25 years, PCC has walked alongside thousands of people in your exact situation—and we’re ready to walk with you, too. Click the button below to schedule your first appointment.

Finding out you’re pregnant can bring a flood of emotions. If you’re unsure what to do next, an ultrasound is a safe and important first step, especially if you’re considering abortion. An ultrasound helps you understand what’s happening in your body, so you can make an informed decision with confidence.
