Appointment Details

Q: Do I need an appointment for a test?

A: If you walk in and we have an available appointment, we will be glad to help you. However, to ensure that you don’t have to wait or come back another day, it’s best to text or call ahead for an appointment. Our number is 417-877-0800. We will get you in as soon as possible.

Q: I need a pregnancy test. Why is it important that I have a missed period?

A: We ask that you be at least 28 to 31 days from the first day of your last menstrual period in order to ensure the accuracy of the test reading. Our tests are medical quality and measure the hormone hCG. According to the manufacturer’s instructions, the most accurate reading occurs after the 28th day of your menstrual cycle.

Q: Will my visit be confidential?

A: Yes. We take your privacy very seriously. We will not share any of your information or the fact that you are a client with anyone unless we have permission from you to do so. If you’d like to come in but are concerned about confidentiality (because you might know someone who works here or for any other reason), please text or call us at 417-877-0800. We will work with you to set up a time when you feel safe to come in. We do share our building with two other businesses, which helps ease some people’s concerns. All of your information will be held in the strictest confidence, unless disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect you or others from harm.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: PCC’s services are all offered at absolutely no cost to our clients. There are no income guidelines or insurance requirements. Text or call 417-877-0800 for more information.

Q: Does every client receive an ultrasound?

A: We do offer limited ultrasounds, which would be scheduled after your first appointment, based on a nurse review. Every woman’s situation is unique, and the best way to find out more about our ultrasound program is to text or call us at 417-877-0800.

Q: Can I get an abortion or birth control from you?

A: PCC does not perform or refer for abortion, nor do we prescribe birth control. We do have information about abortion and various birth control methods, including the effectiveness and risk. Text or call 417-877-0800 for more information.
